A House Divided

The linked article below written by Mike Synder of the Economic Collapse Blog is one of the more astute pieces penned about the American situation.

At DoesTomUdallRepresentYou.com, we see the failure of Tom Udall to represent almost half of the citizens of New Mexico in very basic fundamental ways. His votes and ideology might represent 20% of the population yet the voters have sent him to Washington for any number of reasons. Apparently, name recognition, a family name, out of state connections and money do the trick.

A house divided against itself cannot stand and Americans are divided more than ever. We all agree that there are problems that need to be solved but it is the solutions we disagree on. Poll after poll shows the fragmentation. We no longer share common values or principles. The Constitution which used to be the rule of law is violated repeatedly by the politicians we despise.

There will be no change anytime soon in Washington until the American people decide which side of the fence they are on, once and for all. Until we decide whether we are going to be a Constitutional America or a Progressive Socialist America we are going to see what we are seeing.

At DoesTomUdallRepresentYou.com, we stand with private property rights, individualism, the right of you to keep most of what you create through your efforts and decide how you want to use it and who you want to give it too. We stand by the basic rights guaranteed by our Bill of Rights and refuse to accept the collectivism of Tom Udall, the idea that government is our Big Brother.

We accept that government has a role to play but a very limited role.

Until Americans can resolve what they want from government and from themselves, the stew will continue to boil.
