Bi-Partisan Ain’t a Word That Describes Tom Udall

Posted:  June 19, 2014 (see link below) is an independent, non-partisan, non-government educational organization that helps people like you and me make sense of the political lies we are constantly told by both parties.

Tom Udall has made a lot of bluster about ending the filibuster, Republican obstructionism, and his own desire to work in a bi-partisan manner with the other side of the aisle. Once again, with Tom Udall it is all un-truths.

Tom Udall, in 2012/2013, was voted the most liberal Senator in the U.S. Senate. He also came in 2nd last among Democratic Senators in gathering co-sponsors for his bills from the Republican side. Only 8% of the 36 bills or resolutions sponsored by Udall had a Republican co-sponsor. In a Congressional body that is very evenly split this means he is not going to get his bills passed, and he is not helping New Mexico.

Tom Udall is a most partisan man and inclined to tell the other side to take a hike. We suspect that his using his power to stop dissent from the opposing party bodes ill for the country. He, and all the Democrats in the Senate, gave us ObamaCare – without one Republican vote. We have seen what a mess that has been.

It seems better to us that Udall’s power be checked and even better that he be retired.

Running and talking like a moderate who wants to compromise is just downright shameful. But, Udall has no shame.
