This recent news item confirms what many have been saying for a long time: The Federal government doesn’t have any business in the healthcare business.
Tom Udall, who insists that ObamaCare is something all should have, is dismayed by the recent reports on the Albuquerque VA from a whistle blower. Tom says that constituents have told him similar things in the past. He also says he is against the bonus and financial incentives that encourage such cooking of the books.
It seems that this has been happening a long while and why is Tom Udall, all of a sudden, so distressed and wants to get to the bottom of it all? Some also want him to get to the bottom of Fast and Furious, Bengazi, the IRS scandal, and a host of other scandals in the last few years.
This is not to say that there are not other scandals in the healthcare business like Doctors in private practice billing for services not rendered and patients having the wrong leg amputated in surgeries. There is plenty of funny business going on to keep every detective busy.
Still, wouldn’t it be nice to have heard from Tom Udall several years ago when he first learned of problems with the VA? Wouldn’t it be good to know that he personally used his power and influence to send a few staffers to investigate? Why is it that Tom Udall always has a statement after the event has already gone down?
