Sometimes it is in our bodies extremities that we first see problems. Maybe our fingers are numb? Maybe our hair falls out a little onto the sink? Maybe our toes hurt a bit.
In the linked article below, we see a doctor in Alaska shutting down his practice. Alaska is a long way from New Mexico, but the symptoms described there are going to work their way back to Albuquerque.
Doctors are real live human beings. They aren’t robots. They get into medicine to help people and to make money. Nothing wrong with either of these goals. Becoming a Doctor is beyond most of us and they are rather essential when you need them.
This man was a successful doctor in Alaska and he is closing his practice because of ObamaCare, Medicare, Medicaid. He can no longer charge patients for all his legitimate expenses so he loses money to stay in practice.
So, what does this mean for you?
It means you will have longer waits for care, more expensive treatment because you are paying for those who can’t, and fewer options about doctors and/or hospitals.
Somehow, it doesn’t sound like an improvement over what we had.
Tom Udall knows best even though he has never practiced medicine. He and the Democrats who passed ObamaCare took it upon themselves to tinker with a system that worked for many to create a system that works for few.
Talk to your doctor. Ask if he or she is going to stay in medicine.
Thanks Tom Udall. Your votes have consequences. If only people would wake up and touch the thorns.
