New Mexico Premier Training Ground For Drone Pilots

 Posted:  June 15, 2014

They aren’t really pilots anymore. They used to pilot multi-million dollar aircraft but now they sit in comfy chairs around the world and fly the unmanned drones for military operations and surveillance.

At Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico there have been about 3000 graduates of the drone training program who are working around the world (2009-2014). There are issues with drones.

Drones are unmanned but are fitted with the latest cameras and spying equipment. They are also fitted with weapons that kill. Overseas there have been targeted killings by drones and collateral damage ,as authorities like to call the murder of innocent civilians. With drones also being based in Socorro, New Mexico (at New Mexico Tech) we have a presence in the new killing industry on the civilian side of the ledger.

Rand Paul and other critics of drones fear they will be used for clandestine spying on American citizens and could well be used in the future to take out American citizens who have beefs with their government. There is no due process with the drones. You are here one moment; the next you are vaporized.

All of this was made possible by the signing of the FAA Safety and Modernization Act by Tom Udall and the National Defense Authorization Acts of 2012 and 2014, also signed by Tom Udall. These bills were also signed by many Republicans so war is obviously loved by members of both political parties.

If you are not a fan of the heightened military presence of the U.S. around the world and don’t like to be spied on by your government that already wants to know your medical issues as well as your financial details, ask Tom Udall why he voted for drones? Ask him why we need 3000 drone pilots? It sure looks like we are going to be seeing a lot of these little babies in the sky and it doesn’t seem like they bode well for us.

He will come up with some evasive answer. He has answers but he doesn’t ever answer questions. He just gives you a few paragraphs of good sounding rhetoric and you scratch your head and ask when he is going to get to your problem? Write his office a letter on the National Debt and he will send back a letter on the necessity for ObamaCare. Call his office and his interns, unpaid, hopefully take down your name and number. But then, maybe we don’t want to leave our names. That might get us a visit from a drone some day soon.
