A recent Gallup poll shows that the top concern with voters is Government and Politicians.
Many more voters mention being concerned with non-economic issues such as dissatisfaction with government, immigration, ethical and moral issues than with the economy.
The top three issues, closely bunched, are government/politicians, the economy and immigration.
It is no surprise that Tom Udall wants to run ads about protecting the bases and labs, and helping vets after the V.A. scandal. It is no surprise that he won’t talk about his position as a long time career politician in Washington who grows big government, takes big money, and votes on big bills that squeeze the middle class, help the rich, and give freebies to the poor.
The economy is always going to be near the top of the issue pack.
A smart candidate will be the one who talks about what people are concerned about.
A candidate with things to hide won’t talk about what people are concerned about.
