It isn’t many times you find Americans concerned about anything, but, on an Albuquerque overpass, these citizens were asking for Secure Borders as a first step to dealing with immigration.
There weren’t many up there but they were giving up their time and their energy when they could have been doing what you were doing.
Coming from the opening of Tom Udall’s campaign office in Albuquerque, we had to stop and take a few pictures. Tom Udall spoke of helping the poor and middle class and it isn’t quite clear how letting thousands and thousands of uneducated gang members into the U.S. into your communities is going to achieve that goal. Maybe you should ask Tom Udall why he thinks it is fair to ignore current immigration laws and just let anyone come over here to do whatever they want whenever they want? Perhaps he can explain why he won’t enforce the border security that gives Americans economic security too?
It was nice to see Americans caring.
It would be nicer if Tom Udall cared about Americans as much as he cared about potential Democrat voters from across the border. It would be nice if he really cared about the working class for whom these illegal trepassers of our border will soon be competing – that is, if they can’t get on welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, and housing assistance.
