What Does Occupy New Mexico and This Website Have in Common?

Tom Udall needs to vote against CISPA in the Senate.

For those who use the Internet and are concerned about government snooping and privacy, Dianne Feinstein of California is the Grinch who stole your freedom.

The CISPA is just another version of the CIPA that didn’t pass either House or Senate. The Congress hawks just waited a while, repackaged the poison and are selling it again in a new bottle. The House just passed the CISPA and the three New Mexico Representatives voted for it. Ben Ray Lujan, Michelle Lujan-Grisham and Steve Pearce all drank the Kool-Aid and supposed that the bill actually helped security in the U.S.

Occupy had this to say – “You can’t push for rural broadband and tech transfer with one hand while giving government massive new internet spying powers with the other.”

They go on to add that they are watching CISPA in the Senate and warning Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich to tread lightly on this bill. The bill has passed the Senate Intelligence Commitee and is going to the floor for debate.

We are always watching Tom Udall. Let’s see if his bite is finally bigger than his bark.
